The Integrated Commercial Pilot Licence, or ICPL, was introduced by Transport Canada in 2000 in an attempt to better prepare career pilots for the industry demands. This program integrates the Private and Commercial Pilot Licences, the Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings into one comprehensive training program. A higher standard was introduced with more overall structure, ground school, and simulator training; GFT is one of only seven schools in Canada that are approved to offer the ICPL.
